Terms of Service

Effective: July 2025 · Chemfused Ltd

1. About Chemfused

Chemfused is operated by Chemfused Ltd (registered in England and Wales, company number [Company Number — TBC]), with registered office at [Registered Address — TBC] ("Chemfused", "we", "us", "our").

Chemfused operates an online directory and marketplace connecting chemical buyers with verified chemical suppliers. Chemical property data is aggregated from publicly available sources, principally the PubChem database maintained by the US National Library of Medicine. Chemfused is not a manufacturer, trader, distributor, importer, or seller of chemicals and does not take title to any goods.

2. Acceptance

By accessing or using chemfused.com you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

3. Definitions

  • Buyer — any person or organisation browsing chemical data or submitting an enquiry.
  • Supplier — a business that has registered to list chemical products for sale via Chemfused.
  • Listing — a supplier's product record on Chemfused, linked to a CAS number.
  • Enquiry — a message submitted by a Buyer to one or more Suppliers via the platform.

4. Marketplace role

Chemfused acts solely as an intermediary. We introduce Buyers and Suppliers but are not party to any contract for the sale of chemicals. All contracts for the supply of chemicals are formed directly between Buyer and Supplier. Chemfused accepts no liability for the performance, quality, safety, legality, or regulatory compliance of any chemical supplied.

5. Supplier agreement summary

Suppliers must:

  • be a legitimate, registered business entitled to sell the chemicals listed;
  • maintain accurate, up-to-date product data, CAS numbers, and availability information;
  • hold all regulatory licences, authorisations, and registrations required to supply each listed chemical in the target markets;
  • provide buyers with current Safety Data Sheets (SDS) on request and before or at the time of first supply;
  • comply with all applicable export-control, sanctions, and hazardous-goods transport regulations;
  • not list chemicals subject to an absolute prohibition on trade (e.g. chemical weapons precursors controlled under the Chemical Weapons Convention without the requisite licences).

Chemfused reserves the right to suspend or remove any Supplier or Listing at its sole discretion without prior notice where it reasonably believes a breach of these Terms has occurred.

6. Subscription and payment

Supplier plans are offered on a subscription basis. Fees are stated on the Pricing page and are subject to change on 30 days' written notice. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by law. Free trial periods convert automatically to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial end date.

7. Prohibited use

You must not use Chemfused to:

  • list, promote, or facilitate the sale of controlled substances, narcotics, or dual-use goods without appropriate licences;
  • harvest or scrape data in bulk without our written consent;
  • impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • upload content that is false, defamatory, or infringes third-party intellectual property rights;
  • circumvent any technical measures protecting the platform.

8. Intellectual property

All original content on Chemfused (platform design, branding, proprietary data compilations) is the property of Chemfused Ltd or its licensors. PubChem data is in the public domain under the National Library of Medicine's terms. Supplier-submitted content remains the property of the Supplier; by submitting it you grant Chemfused a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it on the platform.

9. Disclaimers

The platform and all content are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Chemical data sourced from PubChem is provided for informational purposes only. We make no representations regarding its accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. See our SDS & Compliance Disclaimer for specific chemical-data caveats.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chemfused Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform, including but not limited to: loss of profits, loss of data, personal injury, property damage, or regulatory penalties resulting from reliance on chemical data or supplier listings.

Our aggregate liability to any party shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by that party to Chemfused in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.

11. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
